The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the best and unique
department at Alard University. The Department of Mechanical Engineering comprises of faculty
members from diversified domain having a blend of rich Industrial as well as research
experience. The Department encourages the students to go for Internships to reputed public and
private sector companies so as to enrich their practical experience along with their theoretical
knowledge. The Department has signed MoUs with many MNCs offering the best practical

About Curriculum

The four-year academic program at Alard University lays emphasis on computer programming, digital and analogy electronics, networking and telecommunications, design and project works, etc. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in every area of computer science and engineering, integrating classroom-based teachings with practical training and internship programs. It equips students with vast knowledge related to Calculus, Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Database Learning, and more. The curriculum is designed to be continuously upgraded and revamped to prepare students with all necessary competencies to excel and become future-ready professionals.

ABOUT PROGRAM

Short Brief About the Program

The Mechanical Engineering curriculum is geared towards providing the student with a strong foundation in the discipline, an understanding of the component fields of fluid and thermal sciences, mechanics, materials, system dynamics and control, manufacturing and product design, the skills of analysis and design for engineering new products and processes, and the competencies that will enable them to innovate, to address new and challenging problems. Our curriculum prepares the student for the workplace or further study by gaining mastery of the concepts through projects and assignments, experience in real-world applications and practices through industry internships, and exposure to ongoing research problems and the methodology of research and innovation. In order to earn a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering, a student should earn a minimum of 160 credits in the course of their study.

The school of Mechanical Engineering is currently offering one specializations-

1. Smart Manufacturing
Smart Manufacturing Aims at providing students with a deep understanding of the design and production processes involved in 3D printing. Students will learn about the various types of 3D printing technologies, materials, software, and equipment; design principles and techniques required to create printable objects, including the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software and file preparation. Additionally, students will be exposed to the industrial applications of additive manufacturing, such as product prototyping, low-volume production, and mass customization.

Research Methodology
  • Well equipped state–of-the-art laboratories with total investment of INR 1 crore.
  • Active Entrepreneur Development cell to develop employer skills among students. During vacations, students go for industry training and enhance their knowledge in various fields.
  • Provision of semester-long internship with 24 credits for final year students, besides summer/winter vacation internships and project stages from semester 1.

Eligibility

  • Students passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotech/ Biology/ Technical vocational subjects.
  • Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above-mentioned subjects.
  • Passed diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category).
  • Students with good scores in MH-CET, JEE or any other equivalent competitive exams, or Alard University Entrance Test.
